This Bi-Metallic screw is comprised of two metal types – the point is manufactured from heat treated high carbon steel for self-drilling performance and the head is manufactured from Marine Grade Stainless Steel (316).

The two metals are fused together along the shaft to form a screw that offers excellent self-drilling properties combined with exceptional corrosion resistance.

The screws are finished with a metallic zinc layer followed by a baked top coat that provides an extra layer of corrosion protection and lubrication. This protective coating has the additional benefit of reducing the electrolytic corrosion potential and is rated at 1500hrs in a salt spray test.
